Playa Del Carmen
Playa del Carmen is the head of the municipality of Solidaridad, Quintana Roo, located southeast of Mexico, and south of Cancun.
It is within the tourist area called “Riviera Maya”. The city is bathed by the waters of the Caribbean Sea and its main economic activity is tourism, this comes from the hand that also generates a lot of work in the construction industry, this is the second most important industry in the municipality.
In 1996 its population was 10,000 inhabitants, in 2003 it already had a population of 49,000 inhabitants, mainly due to the immigration of people from different parts of the republic in search of the work demanded by the tourism industry.
